Spring Morning

I approach our special, secret place, treading barefoot on the fresh, green grass, so recently sleeping beneath the snow, but now dotted with jewel-bright crocuses.

And you, my Faithful Jewel are waiting for me as promised, by the spring, where it bubbles up from its hidden source, ready to share your most secret places with me.

Your welcoming smile warms me like the sunshine filtering through the lacework of branches. As you disrobe for me on the mossy bank, the breeze raises gooseflesh on your silken skin and whips your nipples into peaks.

My own heated flesh rises in anticipation.


I am devoted to my King and Captain, but mostly to the Ranger I fell in love with so long ago.

Today it is the Ranger who approaches me and I cannot hide a smile when I see your bare feet. We are alone and a day without obligations lies ahead of us. Still we both feel an urgency that make me shed my clothes rapidly.

A hawk screams high up in the air and a red squirrel flees into a tree. You step closer, resting a warm hand on my naked shoulder, leaning in for our first, heated kiss.

A strong sense of the quickening of the land, of the blood, in this little scene that
is filled with expectation and sheer joy.There is a beautiful balance to the drabbles,
seen from the different viewpoints of the lovers, so that together they make a whole.
