Always want to write something about Philippa and this haunted in my head for the whole process of writing A Moment. Got to get it out, somehow.

Title: A Thread of A Moment (sideline snippet for A Moment)
Author: delica
Pairing: VM/SB implied
Rating: G
Archive: RugbyTackle, Green Opals, Enigma
Summary: A strayed line of dialogues between PJ, Philippa and Fran.
Disclaimer: Never know them. Couldn't own them. NOT true. AbsoBloodylutely fictional. Nothing to profit from it, except fun.
Feedback: Yes, please. Love you. Can't wait.

On Fellow_Ship this morning, Nadja Lee's wonderful and sad "When Love and Duty Collide" and BrallaQueen's witty "Age Difference" (will both presumably be archived at Library of Moria and FellowShip at next updates). Can't find either in Nadja's DJ or Bralla's LJ, unfortunately!

So I was thinking about "The Captain and the King", and how good it is, and why I want to strangle Gil with my bare hands every time she appears even though she's a clever, interesting, highly original character. It's not because she comes between Aragorn and Boromir, because she doesn't. Boromir's devotion to Aragorn so overwhelms all other commitments in his life that it's impossible to see her as any sort of threat or built-in obstacle to the men having whatever sort of relationship they want...and it is impossible NOT to read serious slash implications into a lot of that story, though it's written as gen.

And then I realized: Arwen is almost totally absent from "The Captain and the King." I don't think her name even shows up until Chapter 15, and then it's, "Oh yeah, whee, I'm getting married. But Boromir, back to snuggling and taking care of our kingdom..." And it suddenly struck me that I despise clever little servant-girl Gil because she's there at the expense of Arwen, whom I really like, despite the whole fairy-tale elf princess thing. I can't write A/B without seriously fretting about Arwen, and increasingly I like it better when she's thrown into the mix rather than turned into an understanding, distant saint. So I'm totally in love with stories like Beryll's and Twinkledru's where I get my A/B without either gratuitous heterosexism or Arwen tossed to the side.

Just had to get that off my chest. *g* Opinions anyone?

Pairing: Sean Bean/Viggo Mortensen
Summary: Macbeth is finally over.
Disclaimer: This is NOT true, because we just made it up. It NEVER happened.

Authors' Notes: During the last Macbeth curtain call, Sean was positively beaming. We decided he had more than one reason for that.

Fifth (and probably last) story in the "All..." series (for previous installments visit [livejournal.com profile] karelian or Karelian's Castle). This is for [livejournal.com profile] cinzia and the rest of you to whom I owe happy Viggo/Sean fic to make up for That Lapse Earlier In The Week. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tryllian for advice.

Warning: Five times the schmoop of regular VigBean fic!

Disclaimer: This is fiction, never happened, never will.

( You're pretty sure you uttered nothing more coherent than his name and God's, sometimes running the two together. )
