A Question About Dates

According to what I've been able to figure out, filming for LoTR began on October 11, 1999 and ended December 22, 2000 (except for pickups and ADR and stuff). Sean's casting was announced on September 9,1999 and Viggo's on October 15, 1999. Does anyone know when they each arrived in New Zealand? Who got there first? And does anyone know when Sean wrapped?

Public Service Announcement

Good news! I've decided to go ahead with putting together a dedicated Sean/Viggo RPS fic site. It'll be an unofficial archive for rugbytackle, as well as for other SB/VM fics whose authors who aren't on LJ or don't post here.

The archive will most likely be searchable by author and fic rating. Suggestions would be most welcome on what other features you'd like the site to have, although I'm not too keen on interactive stuff like message boards and such -- I want the site to be a fic archive only, NOT a replacement for this wonderful community. Please leave comments here, or e-mail me at milochka_nyet AT hotmail DOT com.

I'm still researching web hosts as well, so I'd appreciate any rec's for slash-friendly hosts in the USA/Canada with decent prices (and that use Linux/Apache, not IIS). Already snared a domain name, though.

Once I've worked out the logistics and site design, I'll post another PSA here to let y'all know how I intend to troll for fic contributions. Rest assured I will NOT add any fic to the archive that doesn't specifically give permission for me to do so -- I'll probably ask you to put a specific term in your fic header. Will work that out later, though. First things first!
