Author Notes: A long, long time ago, lannamichaels issued a 'first line challenge' on rugbytackle: to write a story beginning with the line Sean answered the door wearing only a pair of white boxers. He didn't seem to recognize his caller immediately, blinking slowly, and only then saying, "Oh, it's you. Come in." This is my answer to it (yes, I'm that slow).
