Author's Note: Written for stormatdusk. This is a tech-heavy chapter, and I'm sure true Trekkies will cringe (and non-Trekkies will wonder what the hell all the babble is about). Huge thanks to caras_galadhon and moondreamer1, who when I didn't think I could write a Star Trek story told me not to worry about the techie stuff. :-) Another reason this took so long to finish was because I really wanted to get Data in the story. I tried to write a scene between him and Viggo and nothing felt right. I love Data too much to do him badly so he's only mentioned and the conversation is with Barclay instead.
