I find it extremely annoying to have to both announce and to do this, but . . .

. . . my &^%$##%$ teenage daughter found my &^%$#@ LiveJournal, so I've deleted the poor thing and have to start over again under a new name that THIS TIME she will not discover!!

Damned rotten techno-savvy 14 year olds, god rot their socks!

So, arden_elear is now a tarnished_raven who has to go find her friends, communities etc etc all over again......

*rant* *rave*..........

I'm sorry that happened, but it gave me a chuckle. Damn but kids are smart. :)

How did she find it anyways? (Or should I even ask?)

Did she find it while surfing on the net? Because you could friends-lock your journal so she wouldn't be able to see anyhting.

My boy is not quite six and still pre-literate. I can still safely read slash while he sits on my lap. He has helped me design my journal. I guess I have about 2 more months before I have to start watching my back...

On the up side, at least she directed her little friends over to some high quality stuff! Good first exposure! *snortle*

You must be the coolest Mom ever! *snortle*

I ponder over the NC-17 rating for fiction with no pics. Because I was checking out novels from the public library very nearly as graphic as most of the stuff out there in slash land when I was 12. My Dad even handed some of to me off the sci-fi paperback rack.

So I'm not so stressed about minors reading NC-17 stuff, though the ratings are a nice guide for making decisions about what to read.

On the other hand, am sympathetic to you not wanting them to read *your* stuff. And won't she figure it out? She's gotta know where you hang out!

Poor you!! There are times I am glad I have no kids, though my trainee at work keeps hovering behind my shoulder and trying to read what I type, which makes doing role-play tags while at work a bit difficult. Oh well, his education will get a real boost and he's certainly old enough ;)
Glad to have you back *GG*
