The Artist Formerly Known As....
Mar. 4th, 2004 01:10 amI find it extremely annoying to have to both announce and to do this, but . . .
. . . my &^%$##%$ teenage daughter found my &^%$#@ LiveJournal, so I've deleted the poor thing and have to start over again under a new name that THIS TIME she will not discover!!
Damned rotten techno-savvy 14 year olds, god rot their socks!
So, arden_elear is now a tarnished_raven who has to go find her friends, communities etc etc all over again......
*rant* *rave*..........

So, I hid it in preference to locking, but, if she tracks me down again....
Kill Bill will become Kill Kid!

Date: 2004-03-04 04:43 am (UTC)And apologies for the terrible spelling etc in the reply below this one; it's stinking hot here, late at night, the computer is complaining and my sweat is dripping all over the keyboard. Concentration and accuracy are shot-to-shit! LOl
A little chill
Date: 2004-03-04 04:31 am (UTC)On the up side, at least she directed her little friends over to some high quality stuff! Good first exposure! *snortle*
Re: A little chill
Date: 2004-03-04 04:40 am (UTC)Well, yeah. *grin*. She's my beta for my fluffy stories and she does read slash with my full knowledge and consent. I figure that, if she's gonna find it and read it,and they do, I know because all her friends read it, then I want to know about it.
Their favourite places are the Library of Moria and FF.net, so mostly they're reading those squicky Leggie-lovers things....*shudder*, all kissing and romance and uninformed, copied sex, so I'm not worried. I taught her to be discriminating and I taught her to be un-prejudiced about...well, sexuality and everything else.
But I will NOT have her directing her friends to my journal! LOL
Re: A little chill
Date: 2004-03-09 06:53 am (UTC)I ponder over the NC-17 rating for fiction with no pics. Because I was checking out novels from the public library very nearly as graphic as most of the stuff out there in slash land when I was 12. My Dad even handed some of to me off the sci-fi paperback rack.
So I'm not so stressed about minors reading NC-17 stuff, though the ratings are a nice guide for making decisions about what to read.
On the other hand, am sympathetic to you not wanting them to read *your* stuff. And won't she figure it out? She's gotta know where you hang out!

Date: 2004-03-17 12:03 pm (UTC)Poor you!! There are times I am glad I have no kids, though my trainee at work keeps hovering behind my shoulder and trying to read what I type, which makes doing role-play tags while at work a bit difficult. Oh well, his education will get a real boost and he's certainly old enough ;)
Glad to have you back *GG*
