You created a good deal of tension here - the kind where the reader can see the characters digging themselves ever deeper into hurt - and there's never anything we can do about it, except read on and hope that they are able to unravel the tangle satisfactorily at last. Thanks! This is the first time I've written something based on a specific idea (something with an actual "plot" and not just writing a moment) and it got longer and longer so I was a bit worried about it. I'm pleased that it worked and that you like it.
