Empty?
Sean often wondered why he kept it. It wasn’t as if they used it any more. It was just, well, those treasured memories . . .
When they first met in New Zealand, many days were taken up with physical training and the need to keep in shape, so it had more than its fair share of use . . . one way or the other.
Now, though, preferring the comfort of bed or couch, the bench looked lonely, empty, like a barren and dry landscape, thirsting for refreshment. Tonight, then, he’d ask Viggo to join him in satisfying its emptiness with pleasure.
