Ok, I read up about it someone's journal (can't remember whose) and I probably don't even have my facts right, but I was too excited about the whole thing so I wrote a drabble about it over dinner *grins*

"I heard you're going to be making a new movie with James Marsters?"

"Yeah. Venetian heat."

"What's it about?"

"Gay man and straight man forced to hide in Marsters' place. Gay man falls for Marsters, straight man falls for the wife."

"Which one will you be?"

"The straight man."

"WHAT? Why?!"

"Don't ask me! I didn't cast myself into that role. I just liked the script. Ian even sent his congratulations on it... erm, Vig, what're you doing?"

"Making sure I'll be in Italy while you're filming it."

"Why?"

"Can't miss you in a gay movie!"

I'm pretty sure the title of the film is Italian Heat. I could be wrong though.

But then again the play is Venetian heat so maybe Marsters got it wrong when he announced he'd be doing that part?

I'm getting a headache... Also, must accept that in the play the gay one is the older one so it will probably be Jacobi.

And yeah, like Sean said, he'll probably be the straight guy and that is a great shame really.

We definitely need to have a chat with Sean's agent. Here are the rules: 1) if there is a gay role and a straight role, Sean gets the gay role; 2) his character survives until the credits; 3) tears are good, we like angsty Sean; 4) we like angsty Sean even better if he's with Viggo.

Sean, trust us, baby. We won't steer you wrong. We know exactly what kind of roles you should take.

I should think No.2 should be a necessity. After watching a lot of his movies, it gets to be so depressing when he keeps dying off :-/

Well, this is good news! James Marsters on Life After Buffy (United Press International): " Marsters is currently touring Europe with his rock band Ghost of the Robot and is expected to start filming "Italian Heat" with Derek Jacobi and Sean Bean in September. [...] Marsters recalled how thrilled he was when he first heard about the project since two of his favorite actors were also starring in it."

Nice to know James has good taste in actors. :) And am I the only one who didn't know he'd been married?
