Based on this picture:

Loving Words
Speed. Haste. Hurry. Everything was a race these days, Viggo thought, as his hands sped over the keyboard.
He wished, sometimes, he lived in a different century, long before the advent of e-mails and text messages, when he could have spent time composing his words, writing down his feelings with a flourish by ink on vellum and sealed with a design of his own making; opened in a private place, his words pored over and savoured for their worth, not glanced at on a screen and deleted.
But then, he realised, “I love you” could be savoured whatever the medium.
~End~

Date: 2010-04-06 01:50 pm (UTC)Yes, there's a picture (I'm sure you'll have it somewhere!!) that I saw at Vigg-Works of Viggo writing (in semi-darkness) with an ink pen, and I was struck by the diffrence between that and a laptop. I do tend to think of Viggo as 'unwordly' sometimes (even though, evidently, he's not!) and this sort of gelled in my mind.
Glad you enjoyed. :)
