I'm having trouble accessing this latest batch of additions. The site seems to work as normal, and the headers of these stories appear, but not the story text, ie the bit that comes from the text file, not out of the database.

Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch -the stories might be back already, as I post this- but otherwise it might be that your host lost the drive that your files were on, and went back to a backup from before 10 Sept.

Thank you for letting me know! I see what you mean. They were there when I just updated; I checked. Your explanation seems logical. I'll wait for a day what happens and if they don't show up again, I will edit them. Luckily, it's not that much!

You might also want to check with your host to find out what happened. Loosing a handful of files is one thing, but what if it's more than that next time?
When they know a bunch of files disappeared on you, they might be able to trace the cause and fix it.
