A Place on a Map

Sean watches the sun dipping over the horizon and thinks about it awakening those on the far side of the world, where it all began . . .

It was just a place on a map – before. Just a name – like Outer Hebrides or Prince Edward Island. On old fashioned maps there’d be a cherub with its cheeks blown out indicating a trade wind or something.

But those gentle winds blew them to that magical place, where the mystery of love became certainty, joined lives and wove memories.

He smiles as Viggo squeezes his hand, sharing the same memories, gazing at the sunset.
