Rugbytackle Infinite Robin
Jun. 30th, 2003 06:56 pmHeya. Head's up. As many of you know, tomorrow, July First, is the International Day of Slash. Tonight at midnight, I will be posting the beginning of two Infinite Robins to the Rugbytackle Yahoo!Group. As Infinite Robins are much more suited to mailing lists, I am taking advantage of the one we have, instead of doing it here.
What's an Infinite Robin, you ask. Easy. It's a round robin with no players specified. Normally there would be an order, or a preset plot. Nothing like that here.
All I ask is that there be no major angst and that, if this enters the realm of squick, that a warning be placed at the top of the message. Squicks include BDSM, kink, fetish, Orlando, anything you'd warn for.
Replies can be anything from one sentance to twenty paragraphs.
Example Robin:
Angela: "It was a dark and stormy night."
Bernadette: "And all the men were gathered around the camp fire. The captain arose and said, William, fuck your way around the group."
Chris: "And so he did. But along the way, they ran out of lube."
Demeter: "Ouch."
Bernadette: "But that was alright. They weren't going anywhere in the morning."
Angela: "But, meanwhile, the fire died down."
That was Robin 1. Robin 2 might be...
Angela: "It was a dark and stormy night."
Beatrice: "And William was scared out of his wits. He was alone in a hotel room, having been told to show up there or face the consequences."
Caren: "Secretly, he figured he'd probably enjoy the consequences much more than the prize, but what the hell. He had been lonely, and this looked interesting."
Denise: "Then there was a knock on the door."
Erica: "It was a man in a waiter's costume. 'Room service,' said the man. 'How would you like to be serviced?'"
Robins can split at any point, that's what makes them infinite. It's over when it's over, but it shouldn't be after July 2nd's over. Things like this are uniquly suited for mailing lists rather than BBs and their like because of the spliting and so it's easy to keep track of everything.
Questions, comments? If not, I'll see you at midnight! :D
