Note: This was written for a list challenge for Valentine's Day that requied that there be a 'romantic gesture'. Posting for Karelian, because she told me to.

Silently as a shadow he entered the candlelit chambers. Drawing near the bed he paused, gazing down at the man that lay slumbering beneath furs and linens. His eyes traced the curve of a pale shoulder, over the hollow of a naked throat. His skin burned.
The gift he held suddenly weighed strangely heavy in his hands. Gently he placed the newly mended Horn on the pillow. Tempted, his hand strayed near tousled dark blond hair. He lingered, hungered but did not touch.
He spoke: "I love you."
Boromir slept on, too deep in dreams to notice barely whispered words.
