Was ordered to crosspost this here -- a truly dreadful faux intellectual reading of "Communion" which may actually be worse than the poem itself, and that's saying something:

This is why I dropped out of grad school 3/4 of the way to a Ph.D.!

And I'm locking the hell out of that post in 48 hours lest someone doing research on the illustrious poetry of the esteemed Mr. Mortensen should stumble upon it and think it's serious. (You know that some high school girl somewhere in America is working on such a paper even as I type this...)
