Title: "Here Today", Part 2: We were worlds apart
Pairing: Viggobean
Rating: PG
Author: fantasy_land
Summary: Maybe Sean doesn't know Viggo quite so well
Warnings: None that I can think of.
Feedback: Yes, please, definitely
Disclaimer: Pure fiction, made it all up. Lyrics are property of Paul McCartney and the characters are property of themselves.
Notes: Double drabble based on the song "Here Today" by Paul McCartney, the full lyrics to which can be found here. Continues where part 1 left off. Thanks for all the comments on the first one...they were very encouraging!
Sean recognized the song and turned it off, but not quickly enough, managing to catch the next line. "Well, knowing you, you'd probably laugh and say that we were worlds apart if you were here today." He sighed. That's exactly what Viggo would do if he heard him right now, chuckle and remind him of how different they were, how much time they spent away from each other. Viggo wouldn't be cruel enough to elaborate, but Sean remembered the details well enough on his own. He remembered that when Viggo wanted to discuss politics, he'd talk to Sir Ian, whose views were always controversial and well thought out. If he was in the mood to talk music, he went to Elijah with his eclectic, random tastes. If he wanted to have a conversation about art or poetry, the ever-enthusiastic Orlando was his partner of choice. For talks on life, religion, and other philosophical topics, Viggo went to Karl, thoughtful and intense. Sean himself was quieter, less ready for deep discussions, which was why Viggo hardly turned to him for them. Sean didn't really mind, but he thought that maybe, he didn't know Viggo quite as well as he first thought.
