Secondary thought ... new look is nice. I have to resize my browser to make the text scroll in the gray middle area rather than through Vig's photo, but it's a non-nuisance for such nice photos.

That's what I was afraid of. My computer has a 800*600 resolution so I've always been working with that. I have no way of checking the graphic and other things with mine. I'm sorry about that!

Not a problem.
I have the same issue with my LJ background. I designed it for my monitor, which is 1280X1024 and a 17-inch flat screen. It looks crappy on the Mac monitor at work and I'm sure it doesn't show up properly on most people's screens in the LJ community either. But, hey, I like the way it looks so I don't really care.

As for rugbytackle, don't sweat it. It looks really good.

Yeah, yours is all knocked off on my monitor (PC, 800x600)! Isn't there some way of standardizing this stuff? This is why I know nothing about web design!
