Next chapter will be much longer...I hope.

If I could get over you
then I could get away from here
it's such a lonely place
I only have myself to blame
and if I make it through
the wasteland of my mind
maybe then I'll find a way
to find a brighter day

The smell of sweat hung in the air and the room was dark. The thick, heavy drapes that hadn't been opened in months probably, blocked out any offending light.

"Shit"

The cigarette slipped from his fingers, falling quickly to Sean's bare chest burning the skin there. His breath quickened, his eyes wide and bright in the shadows, he decided against moving the hot ash from himself and instead left it to melt the soft skin.

Ah, pain.

Something he was used to, something he could understand, could control.

Lying back, he groaned at the sensation tingling his torso, the warmth spreading from a pinpoint of white-hot heat. As the cigarette slowly burnt itself out, leaving black marks and red-orange embers, Sean let himself drift, his eyelids fluttered shut and he tried to fall asleep.

'Oh Viggo, if only you could see me now.'

Oh goodness! Good start! I do hope there is more to flesh this out though I have to admit it's got my imagination going into overdrive!

This doesn't completely suck. That's all I want to say about it right now cos the subject is really not my thing, it's just that I looked at it expecting some semiliterate teenie epic that I could mock quietly, safe in the knowledge that I could do better before breakfast, and I find something rather classier.

Don't mind me, I've just been reading bad Domlijah. It leaves a nasty taste in the mind.

Oh Viggo, if only you could see me now.

I shivered at that, truly shivered. I know this isn't really what I should be saying here, as this stands on it's own, but since you mentioned a next chapter... More, please?

"The smell of sweat hung in the air and the room was dark."

Well, you had me from this sentence on - hook, line and sinker!
Great start, more please!
