Nice to know this, I think
Mar. 20th, 2004 08:27 pmI was browsing on a site that has information on the etymology of first names, because I need a name for my new character in a RPG (it is called "Shadowrun", just in case my fellow RPG geeks want to know) and I went to see whether there was a meaning for Viggo in the Danish section or not. And there was one: Viggo is a the short form of an old name that contained the element "Vig" which means war! Interesting for me, so I thought, I would share this with you.
And before the questions start coming:
Sean is the Celtic form of English John, which can be traced back to a Hebrew name meaning "Yahweh is gracious". A tiny neat bit of info from a research geek, but terribly slow writer! :)
