This is fabulous!! I've been wondering if you'd write some more VigBean as your 'Method' remains one of my all time favourite pieces of VigBean writing. So thank you so much for sharing this wonderful 'history' as you call it. Your characterisations are stunning, the whole thing is very hot, very real and I even managed to deal with Orlando!!! (He is a major squick for me, I'm afraid)

Ahahahahahaha. Strangely, he is for me, too. I mean, I love writing Aragorn/Legolas -- no nancing elf for me, thank you -- but I don't really "feel" him in RL. He's just too ... pretty. I prefer him in full-on comic mode, and asexual. But there was a tiny plot thread in MTJF where I got the feeling that Viggo actually regretted turning Orlando down -- that he was (overly) conscious of Orlando, and, if given the chance, he might grudgingly take part in a threesome with Bloom. (Notice that it's Bean, however, who feels lousy afterwards. Kismet, yo.)

Enjoyed this very much. They're such guys. Great characterizations and dialogue. I was grinning like a mad thing right from the start:

Viggo smiled delightedly as Sean silently handed him his tea, swallowing a mouthful before returning it. “Are there already cliques?”

“Nah,” Sean replied. “‘But I’m too old for the hobbits, and too young for bleeding Ian McKellen.”

And I particularly liked how the relationship insecurities went back and forth between the two characters.

I must admit I stopped reading at part eight on Bean Squee when it became apparent we were going to visit Orlandoworld because, well, Orlando. (I'm sure he's a very nice boy.) Glad I read to the end this time.

Well, yes. Orlandoworld -- not really my milieu, although I quite fancy him as Legolas. But I felt like there was a spark of something there with Viggo, if not so much with Sean, that could be explored...

liars_dance said pretty much everything I wanted to say, so I'll just agree with her all 'round... lovely characterizations, the dialogue is spot-on, and you even managed to make me like Orlando. (I do occasionally feel guilty about disliking him so intensely, as Vig/Orlando *shudders* is how I started with the fandom... but somehow between now and then it's turned into extreme dislike... :P)

Would it be greedy of me to beg for more, and soon? *grin*

Hee! and thank you! As I said above, I just don't really see Orlando in a sexual way (at least with the LOTR group) -- that said, I'm glad I made him palatable in the story.
