Sweat trickled down his spine, but not from heat–from fear. He stank of it. With a deep breath, he pushed open the door and stepped inside. If his information was correct, Viggo wouldn't be there.
He walked through the nearly deserted gallery, hard-soled shoes the only sound beside that of traffic, returning time and again to one haunting image that gnawed at his soul, though he knew not why.
A familiar scent caused the hair on the back of his neck to rise, and with a stifled moan he turned to meet a pair of guarded blue eyes.
"Hello."
