[identity profile] fabularasa.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] rugbytackle
I have watched and enjoyed your community for some time, and I posted the fruits of that study on my livejournal here. But more importantly (and I hope more interestingly) I have a Sean/Viggo fic of my own:

The Old Lion

in which Sir Ian dispenses rudeness and advice in equal measure, based on the interview on the Fellowship of the Ring DVD, when in discussing Orlando Bloom he makes the rather horrid remark that "the old lion had to smack down the young cub a bit."

That was fucking brilliant! A new take on an old theme - excellent, can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! You should post more, and soon!!!

Daft baggage!!!!! No reason to feel nervous at all, I have a feeling you're gonna fit in very well at Rugbytackle - which is a very jolly place to be and no mistake!!!

Btw - see your icon, is almost exactly what I want for my tattoo, we may have to have a little chat about that!!!!! Depends if I can get this illustrator I vaguely know to design something for me...

Wonderful! And *sheepish grin* I have to agree with Sir Ian about Orlando, but that's just my thing. I *adored* his Talk with Sean, and the scene with Sean and Viggo was so touching (as well as hot!)... Sean slowly finding his way into a Relationship with Viggo.

Can't wait to read more!

I'd noted that remark of Ian McKellan's in the commentary, and wondered what bounciness Orlando Bloom had been up to, to irk the man so. I love the use of the games, and the iracibility (poop, I can't spell tonight) of a sixty-something. And the image of Sean and Viggo tied up in their own knot of conversation somewhere.
It was a lovely seduction, too. So much is too explicit, and this walked that fine line between not enough and too much.
And that bit about the plumber!!!! roflmao.
Makes me think I should finish editing my piece and get it up here too. Thanks for sharing.

This was wonderful.
I loved how irascible Ian was & the way that you drew the personalities of the Hobbits & Orli in such a concise yet perfect way.
And, of course, Sean & Viggo - a beautiful, very realistic sounding relationship.
Thank you so much.

Oooh!

I love the way you've drawn Ian - lovely old bastard. And Sean and his nervousness came off very well too - I can just see him like that, trying to figure it all out. Very nice.
