Man, I hate having to do this, but desperate times and all that.
One of my favorite sites for Sean/Viggo art is password protected and the artist asks a sort of riddle for you to figure out the password.
That's cool and perfectly understandable but...I don't speak Japanese, and translating it with a computer program makes the riddle mostly nonsense, at best.
So I ask you, is there anyone who understands this better than me?
ID: In alias of lunar calendar 12 month God like the in Japan it gets together in the area where it is, there is a month when it is named from the fact that God stops being in other entire countries, but please input the place name where that God gets together with the alphabetical character of small letter. PASS: When the month when above-mentioned God is not is corrected in the present solar calendar please input the month when it becomes, with English small letter.
Or maybe you have a Japanese friend you can ask? If so, the main page is here:
http://f12.aaacafe.ne.jp/~mumu/
And the V/S slash art is here: http://f12.aaacafe.ne.jp/~mumu/under.html
Your reward shall be lovely art of the Viggo/Sean and Aragorn/Boromir variety! There is also more easy assessable and just as lovely PG art for the boys on her site. :)
Ta!

as you ladies make my days so much brighter...
Date: 2003-04-25 01:26 pm (UTC)(Just please don't reuse/redesign/reformat the arts/works in anyway...thank you!)
And since I'm posting this, just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying this community. Sheer quality through and through, superb writings and beautiful/wicked ideas...oh and not to forget, your abundunt love for Sean and Viggo!! I'm so in awe.
Re: as you ladies make my days so much brighter...
Date: 2003-04-25 01:28 pm (UTC)Would never DREAM of abusing those lovely works of art in any fashion. :)
And THANK YOU! I was going bonkers!
Re:
Date: 2003-04-25 11:32 pm (UTC)Oh, I know!! No offense and not to sound condescending or anything, I had to put that in as I know how some of the artists have found their art being exhibited or used in foreign sites without their permission, sometimes not even in its entirety...and since the act is considered highly unethical in the Japanese cyber world (you'll rarely find a website that DOESN'T state that the works may not be reused/reposted/etc. Of course the problem is, they neglect to add an English translation...), you can see why I'm slightly circumspect!!
Anyway, with that out of the way, here's another place you might find interesting. She's my current favourite. (As I don't want the artist to get nervous when she suddenly finds her 'backroom(=ura)' site being directly accessed, I'm going to ask you to go thru the main doors...sorry!!)

I agree, some people have no decency or manners and I don't blame the artists for being nervous one bit. I've had my stories plagiarized before and it is a painful, ugly thing.

Ohhhhh, such lovely art! Time and again I've wished I could write to these wonderful artists and let them know how much I adore their work. I usually settle for signing their guestbooks and hoping that if they don't speak English, they know someone who does.

Your English is fantastic! I'm jealous of anyone who is intelligent enough to be bilingual. Me? I can barely cope with the language I was born into, I'm not sure I could handle another one!
Thank you for all your help!

That's such a nice gesture...!!I'm sure they're all flattered and that they get the message. But if you need any help at all in finding useful sentences to leave etc, do let me know. Would be happy to help!!

Date: 2003-04-27 11:36 am (UTC)Ah, that's because the artist only left hints in Japanese. As you probably know, we tend to hide RPS or stuff that includes sexual contents in the 'ura'(back) pages and you have to fish around to find clues...
Anyways, I'm glad I delurked!! *g*
Do let me know if you need any assistance in finding the goodies!!
Re: as you ladies make my days so much brighter...
Date: 2003-04-25 03:05 pm (UTC)And I am not talented enough to figure out how to get to the artwork even with this aid! Keely, will you help me? *g*

And LJ codes!! Wow, that is soooo generous of you, but English not being my first language, I doubt that I could contribute in terms of SV goodness so perhaps it may be better off in the hands of possible future writers...??
