This is not a fic proper but more the rewriting of a scene between Boromir and Aragorn. It's flawed, cause to make the point I wanted to make I had to base it on an inconsistency *g*

What inconsistency? That Gandalf was actually the first member of the party to die? It could be explained away in that he didn't stay dead. Boromir was the first of the party to permanently die (in canon, anyway).

Aw, no, sorry. It's that the 'shards of Narsil' thing takes place before Elrond's council, so there's no way Aragorn can know that there will be a Fellowship that includes Boromir and that will go on a quest. It's the kind of detail that bugs me to no end but I liked the first blood concept so I went for it anyway *g*
