What songs immediately make you think of Sean and Viggo as a couple? I'm thinking of putting together a sort of VigBean soundtrack if I can get enough songs

Suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Um.

"Never Too Close" on Summertime Dream by Gordon Lightfoot. *sheepish grin*

The first lines are:

I remember when best friends were jealous lovers
Lying warm asleep beneath the covers
Dreaming of belonging to each other...

Also, "The Fall of Troy" on pandemoniumfromamerica has a lot of SB/VM/OB mystery. Cause 1) I assume Viggo wrote it, not Buckethead and 2) I'm pretty sure it would have been written and recorded during the filming of "Troy". So who's it about, hmmm? Or what, exactly?

"I can't fight this feeling" by REO Speedwagon has the right sentiment but its cheesy beyond words. LMAO! Not manly enough for these two!!

I can't fight this feeling any longer.
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow.
What started out as friendship,
Has grown stronger.
I only wish I had the strength to let it show.

I tell myself that I can't hold OUT forever.
I said there is no reason for my fear.
Cause I feel so secure when we're together.
You give my life direction,
You make everything so clear.

And even as I WANDER,
I'm keeping you in sight.
You're a candle in the window,
On a cold, dark winter's night.
And I'm getting closer than I ever THOUGHT I MIGHT.

And I can't fight this feeling anymore.
I've forgotten what I started fighting for.
It's time to bring this ship into the shore,
And throw away the oars, forever.

Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore.
I've forgotten what I started fighting for.
And if I have to crawl upon the floor,
Come crashing through your door,
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore.

My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you.
I've been running round in circles in my mind.
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl,
Cause you take me to the places,
That alone I'd never find.

And even as I wander,
I'm keeping you in sight.
You're a candle in the wind,
On a cold, dark winter's night.

Blood Brothers -- Bruce Springsteen
(Honestly, this one sounds so much like something written after the filming in NZ when everyone has gone back to RL, etc. Kind of a cool fit.)

My Immortal lyrics:

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

You used to captivate me
By your resonating life
Now I'm bound by the life you've left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

It is usually Sean's voice before meeting Vig and during the first weeks on set :)

"Proterra" by Runrig

As I walk along these shores
I am the history within
As I climb the mountainside
Breaking Eden again

Dark the day, dark the night
The warring dust, the morning tribe
Crushed by a million suns
Here the heart of you lies

Over land and sea
I'll come fighting for you
Over land and sea
A dawn is breaking before us

Proterra, take this hand
The open wound, the promised land
Breaking the waves, spread the oars
Cast our badge for the shore

" Day of Days" by Runrig

We sailed on sun soaked seas
And we sailed
Late on the day of days

And desire and pride and anger
Fade away
Washed on the sea of change

We came. in search of saviours
Round the world
And through the cities and the towns

There was a crowd no man could number
Walking down
Taking the chosen road

We passed through the last aurora
And we rise
Soul kites in a diamond sky

Boarding the morning of the free
Re-born in the dawning, complete

I knew a man who couldn't see
I knew a man who couldn't feel
I knew a man whc couldn't talk
I knew a man who couldn't walk
I knew a man, I knew a man
I knew a man

The first could be both, the second tends to evoke more Viggo in my thoughts :)

"This Is Not A Love Song" By Runrig

I could tell you about the moon
That's rolling 'cross the sky
I could show you all the stars
But it's much too late at night
I'm driving home on the silver run
The last to move on through
And this is not a love song
No matter what I do
Words are few but the heart is true
Still the world keeps turning round
For me and you

If I could only make you see
One reason to believe
I would open up my heart
It's so easy to deceive
Footsteps fall through open doors
Across a darkened room
And this is not a love song
This is no moon in June
Words are few but the heart is true
Still the world keeps turning round
For me and you

You know for you I'd give my life
In you I will be strong
We went off looking for the light
But it was right here all along
Now we wait her passing nightimes
Until every morning comes
And this is not a love song
This is no easy tune
Words are few but the heart is true
Still the world keeps turning round
For me and you

Could be either of them, but that is usually Sean in my thoughts

I Don't Know You Anymore by Savage Garden because I wrote a songfic on it

http://www.geocities.com/ashlith/misc/songfic.html

And Sweet Surrender by Sarah McLachlan

It doesn't mean much
It doesn't mean anything at all
The life I've left behind me
Is a cold room
I've crossed the last line
From where I can't return
Where every step I took in faith
Betrayed me,
And led me from my home
And sweet
Sweet surrender
Is all that I have to give...

[more that I can't be bothered to type up]

And for sappy VigBean, Still by 98 degrees
Love, I see forever in your eyes
I can see heaven in your smile
And when I hold you close
I don't want to let go
Because deep in my soul I know
You are the only light I see
Your love means everything to me
I promise that we'll never be apart
'Cause you'll always be in my heart
[again, more... :P ]

I think thats it, lol

Hi, here's my song for your list.

I don't know why, but when I hear Patti Scialfa's *Spanish Dancer* I have to think of Viggo. All the time... And Sean is usually not far away when Viggo is near.

Here are the lyrics:

Spanish Dancer

Oh mama there's this spanish dancer
Whose steps I follow when he comes near
The red dress of temptation
Over a long black slip of fear
Will I fall beneath the shadow
Of some broken cross
My arms emptied and all my treasures lost
Still like that spanish dancer
I throw my roses down for him
Across these beds of darkness
He opens his arms and gathers them in

Oh mama the bridges were burning
Over a river black and cold
But I walked when love commanded me
Up to the edges of his soul
But I'm still frightened of that dark divide
Will I gain entrance or be denied
Still like that spanish dancer
I throw my roses down for him
Across these beds of darkness
He opens his arms and gathers them in

Oh mama when you were a young girl
Did you ever love a man so much
As if he were some fantastic jewel
That you should never be worthy of
But all those illusions strip and fall
And he is just a man after all

And just like that spanish dancer
I throw my roses down for him
Across these beds of darkness
He opens his arms and gathers them in
Just like that spanish dancer
I throw my rose down for him
Across these beds of darkness
He opens his arms and gathers them in
Just like that spanish dancer I

"Green Eyes" by Coldplay for obvious reasons, and "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright or Leonard Cohen, although the last one is more Aragorn/Boromir for me. If you want the lyrics, I can get them, I'm just feeling lazy at the moment.

Someday We'll Know by New Radicals

This song is sad and always reminds me of the two of them, for some reason:

------

SOMEDAY WE'LL KNOW
by New Radicals

Ninety miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving, I don't know why
So many questions, I need an answer
Two years later you're still on my mind

What ever happened to Amelia Earhart?
Who holds stars up in the sky?
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

Someday we'll know if love could move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you

Does anybody know the way to Altantis
Or what the wind says when she cries?
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the ninety-seventh time ... tonight

Someday we'll know if love could move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you

Yea yea yeah yeah

Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow
I watched the stars crash in the sea
If I could ask God just one question
Why aren't you here with me ... tonight?

Someday we'll know if love could move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you

Yea yea yeah yeah

Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you
