“Still, man! For pity’s sake, hold still…

Eru, that last barb cut deep… no escape this time, Boromir…they flow around you, foul things passing…be still and they may not finish you…take shallow breaths, man… be still and the shaft seals the wound…live to tell the little ones’ fate…but one does not pass…lift your head, Boromir…ah, the dark bowman…no orc this…it sees the fear in me…Eru, it understands honour…and I have none…oh love, I failed you…oh lover mine, I failed our people…so archer, you notch another shaft and smile…at the last, let Gondor look ruin in your eye…I do not yield.”

This is so powerful...so sad. It brought back to me the terrible sequence in the movie. Poor, poor Boromir

*shivers* Oh, this is wonderful... so very Boromir, and so very heartbreaking. His voice is spot-on here, as is his recognition of what Aragorn means to him, and the way you've written this is just perfect. I can hear the mental "catches of breath" with every ellipsis, fading as he fades. Lovely!
