...since lunasv mentioned in an introduction to one of her drabbles that she'd read Sean loves old churches, but didn't know the link, tryllian found this for me:

The Other Mr. Bean

Which Geocities is going to refuse to let you access 99% of the time because that is what Geocities does, so I will quote the relevant part. "A BLOKE'S BLOKE, THEN?" asks the hypothetical interviewer about Sean Bean, then answers his own question: "Not exactly. He likes old churches and adores William Shakespeare."

No matter what those viggorli fans believe about hidden meaning of the line "bloom of compassion" in Viggo's poem "Communion," this is the part I've always wondered about:

YOUR BREATH
DOWN MY BACK
SENT AWAY NIGHT AIR
THAT HAD ME SHAKING
IN THE UNLIT ANGLICAN
DOORWAY.

Because really, who would hang out in unlit Anglican doorways...other than someone who loves old churches?

(Disclaimer: Everything in this community is a work of fiction, possibly including Viggo's poetry. So of course I'm not taking this seriously. Much. *g*)

I HATE that viggorli thing. Well, the concept in general, but the "bloom of compassion" thing in particular. It's so completely about Sean, it's not even funny any more.

I've read that poem several times and I don't know how it could be about Orli. Only teenage girls would be lame enough to assume because it says bloom that he's talking about Orlando without reading the RESt of the poem. And who is he closest to on the set? Sean ofcourse!!

Sure Orli is always kissing, all over Viggo but that's bsce he's young and really admires him. I don't see that same reaction from Viggo so I really don't think that's the case.If there is some sort of crush, its obviously one-sided. When they ask Viggo about who's he closest too, he in general brings up the rest of the cast and usually specifically mentions Sean.

And there's the whole mystery of them taking a picture togethor. I think it was hinted at why on someone's LJ who's in or was in the movie business. I know those two would be explosive togethor in a pic, I mean look at Vig/Karl pictures and there just goofing around, I think .

Sorry I usually lurk, but I just had to add my two cents to this obsession.
I would kill for a candid photo of a pic with those two.

Oh, hoped I didn't piss off any vigorli fans so i'd like to say I used to be a vigorli fan until i started reading interviews with Viggo and Sean. That completely won me over to the VigSeanB side!!

You know what amuses me? It's an article about Sean and yet, they put a picture of Viggo on the page. Why would they do that?

gah, that'll teach me to catch up on commenting .. needless to say this comment actually applies to the 'farm' post, and the comment that should have gone to this post -- lost somewhere in a 'cannot find server' window -- reads something like, "mmm, best mate!" and indicates a desire to go back and reread 'Communion' (and a few others that spring to mind) checking out possible Bean refs.

Reread "Apart" too. I always wondered what his keys were doing on an angel's hip. Figured maybe someone was holding them for him, but maybe he literally meant "angel" of the sort one finds in church decorations. *g*

because Sean was back and forth out of New Zealand, so Vig would have PLENTY of time to realize how sad they are apart, but time enough to have make up sex.

I tend only to try to assume narrator-poet conjunction when there are very concrete details in a poem that suggest that it's about something that actually happened, not a more general meditation on loneliness or love or whatever. The last stanza of "Apart" could apply to almost anyone, anywhere, or to a conglomeration of someones. But how many people does anyone go church-hopping with in a lifetime, I wonder? *g*
