Written for: [livejournal.com profile] adult_viggo Fall Drabble Challenge No 4

Based on this picture:

UNASSUMING

“How about this for a challenge, Viggo . . .”

“What? No! They’re supposed to be written challenges, Sean, we agreed . . .”

“No, not the photos. This is something different. Describe yourself in a hundred words”.

“Describe myself . . .”

“. . . in a hundred words. It’s called a Drabble – ingenious idea, don’t you think? And it should be easy for a wordsmith like you – you’re always, always scribbling away in your notebooks and even across your paintings, sometimes”.

“I do not scribble! Anyway, I’m not writing about myself. I’m working out my thoughts and my ideas and the themes for my poems and such”.

“So a hundred words should be easy then”.

“No, Sean, it’s really not that simple. My life is modest, but too eclectic to ever put down on paper”.

“Oh, I see. A hundred is too few words, then?”

“I was going to say too many”.

~End~

I love that the pairing is Sean and Viggo and I love the premise that they are talking about what a drabble is!

Very cool :)

“I do not scribble!...

Love that indignant protest! ;D And that he thinks about himself so little that he can't even come up with a hundred words for himself.

This is an utterly compelling and lovely idea. My favourite bits were:

I do not scribble! to which I wanted to reply "Oh, are you sure?" and

“I was going to say too many”. because this describes my Viggo to a t. Usually he is too modest to talk about himself much :)

The lines I love best have been quoted already ! I think this is so sweet and I do like the idea of them discussing drabbles !!

Hehe, I think it's really cute that Viggo is so modest about himself that he thinks a hundred words is too excessive to describe him. I love these sort of people, who are humble and modest but very salt-of-the-earth. In contrast, those who boast and brag about themselves are usually the most boring people in the world! An empty vessel makes the most noise, after all ;)

I love this little snippet of interaction from them, I can imagine Vig and Sean lounging in their living room, sharing a laptop and talking about challenges, hehe! Very well-written! Oh, and I just realised Viggo is wearing the Argentina away jersey in the picture! I have the very same football jersey, yay!

"I was going to say too many."/i> makes me smile. :) They can try to describe each other in a hundred words, but then a hundred is too much few, I suppose. ;)
