Sean’s POV
Christmas is nearing. Yesterday it started snowing and it hasn’t stopped since. There’s a lot to be done, but it isn’t Christmas yet, so I am taking my time. The things I want to do today need to be planned carefully.
First things first, so I go around the house for the stuff I need : rope, a small knife, tape. When I’ve collected it all, I go back to the living room. It’s not an easy thing to try, tying up. But I am quite good at using my hands. My welding days are very useful when it comes to things like that.
For this I could use four hands though, and I am cursing when I try to get the first knot in the rope. Kneeling down on the floor seems to be the best option, the table isn’t big enough. I slowly wrap the rope around, using my knee sometimes to keep it from coming loose.
I must make sure the knots won’t loosen, but on the other hand I don’t want to damage the goods I am tying up, so I am being careful. Now and then I stop for a while, just enjoying the sight. This is such a beautiful gift !
Isn’t it just marvellous, wrapped up like this and won’t it be delightful to unwrap it ? But first things first, I think again, while I rummage through the desk drawers. Aaaahh.. there it is !
In my hand I hold the writing set my agent gave me last Christmas. It has this little box filled with red wax and a stamp with my signature. Won’t it be lovely to decorate my parcel with my personal seal ?
Holding the wax above the candle I whistle a carol. It’s quite exciting to use this for the first time, and I can’t wait to see the effect. I decide to try it without the stamp first so I hold the box just above my parcel, trying to choose the perfect spot.
Slowly tilting the box the wax falls down, making a lovely red spot, and my parcel gives a yell I feel in my groin. I can’t help but grin widely.
“I’ve only just started Vig, you look gorgeous wrapped up, the wax is only making it better. You’re not cold are you without clothes? At least the wax is hot. I am so glad you were willing to try this, I never knew I would like it so much. I don’t want to upset the neighbours with you yelling like that though.
Now let’s see, where did I leave that duct tape? “
Viggo’s POV
I love working in the kitchen at Christmas ! It reminds me of helping my mom as a kid, just soaking up those traditional smells of cinnamon and cloves and roasting turkey.
I just love the preparations of the festive banquet. It’s the long, slow build up that makes it so good, when you finally get to taste everything.
Now to truss the turkey, so onto the table with it and I’ll just follow the instructions in the book :
Step 1 With the breast side up, slide the long piece of string underneath the tail.
Step 2 Cross the ends above the tail and loop them over, pulling tightly and then under the legs to tie them together, pressing them up close to the body.
Step 3 Turn over and fold back the wings, bringing each string along the sides and up to wrap around each wing.
Step 4 Tie another piece of string around the turkey’s neck, leaving two long ends hanging. Pass each string end round a wing and tie the string ends together.
Now that looks so good. It is making my mouth water ! Next, I need to oil it thoroughly. I love the sight of the golden oil pouring over the breast and legs, making them gleam. I’ll just run my hands over the whole thing, gently rubbing it in, with some extra attention just here !
“Oww!”
“Sorry, Sean, didn’t hurt you, did I ?”
“No, but that oil is bloody cold ! Just took me by surprise, is all !”
“Cold, eh ? Well it’s certainly making me hot ! Are you OK in those ropes ?”
“Yeah, OK, but that one tying me cock down is a bastard. Can’t you just loosen it a little ?”
“No, Sean, the instructions are quite clear about securing the tail. You know how I hate to break with tradition. Now it’s stuffing next !”
“Er, Vig, aren’t you traditionally supposed to stuff the turkey BEFORE you truss it ?”
“ Ah, but it’s much more fun this way, Sean ! And after your little game with the hot wax, you should be grateful I forgot the skewers ! ”

Most inventive!
