Fic Requests

Hi all,

Recently I've been finding myself in the mood to read lots and lots of VigBean. As a result, I always re-read my usual favourites and I find myself wondering if I might have overlooked a few gems that I would kick myself for missing out on.

Therefore, I would like to ask you guys to share with me what your favourite VigBean fics are and pass some recommendations my way. Since I'm a bit of a wuss, I'd appreciate it if you could leave out recs that include the following topics (which happen to be my personal squicks):

- Bondage, whipping, hard S & M, bloodplay, watersports, etc
- Threesomes, foursomes, etc (you get the idea)

Otherwise, anything else is fine, such as AU, H/C, angst, schmoop (although I'm a big fan of that). It can be a new fic or something posted ages ago. Heck, I'm even willing to beta if you need one - email to clocks[at]gmail[dot]com. Just post your links and then everyone can share in the VigBean goodness!

Thank you SO much for all the recs :) I'm a huge fan of Elintirn and I miss her writing, I hope she settles down soon (she moved recently) and starts writing again!

Yeah it really does! She's been mentioned a few times to me, and for some weird reason I don't remember reading any of her fics. Maybe I did and I'm just forgetful cos there are tons of talented writers here!

Anything writen by shegollum mostly she writes about this pairing, they are excellent i recomend all of them, i think you will have to leave her a message on her lj to read them though, it's friends only.

I hesitate to pick out individuals, when the variety of work out there is so large and the posts above have listed a lot of fine writers, but can I mention a couple of old favourites - Brigantine1, particularly the 'Prairie Fire' Series and Cinzia's 'Oranges'. They were almost the first pieces I read and I was hooked.

I totally agree with you - there have been so many fantastic stories and authors recommended to me that I don't even know where to start! I haven't read the Prairie Fire series though, and I definitely will start soon. Thanks for the rec!

I just have to add someone I forgot, even though I could slap myself for it : please read alex_quine 's fics, all of them but especially the "Cold Pressing" They are absolutely fantastic !

Heh, it's not the age, hun. It's just that there are SO many good writers that it's really hard to remember all of them in one sitting. But I really appreciate your effort to promote all VigBean writers and the VigBean pairing :)

Oh my gosh. I haven't read any LOTR RPS in a long time. There was so much wonderful writing in that fandom.

So these are just a few--off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll kick myself later for leaving things out.

I completely agree, there is SO much good writing and it's one of the reasons I'm hooked on VigBean in the first place. It's a shame that some writers are either no longer writing or posting their fic publicly (such as Karelian, Cinzia, Asyje and Gloria Mundi) but there is still so much good writing. I'm particularly very fond of Archet's and Elintirn's writing, as well as Shrinetolust whenever she does post VigBean, LiarsDance, Moldava, Galadriel, Rifleman...oh, the list can go on and on!

Anyway, thank you for posting your recs. Sadly, none of Karelian's fics are still up, is there somewhere you could point me towards for 'Skittish'? Thanks so much!
