About Journalfen
May. 30th, 2003 09:25 am...in case anyone was mystified by
colleenkane's post...
journalfen.net is a community much like LiveJournal, except it was set up specifically for media fandom and at the moment it has hundreds of thousands of fewer users so it tends not to have the same glut of problems that I'm sure everyone has noticed LJ having the past few weeks. (JF is also the home of The Establishment, the kinky lotrips RPG that anyone who has never checked out might want to!)
A couple of days ago, I set up a backup
rugbytackle community there in case LiveJournal should die an unexpected death or should simply become so inaccessible on certain days that people need someplace else to get their ViggoBean fix. I am not in ANY way advocating moving Rugbytackle there or splitting people between LJ and JF. I simply thought it would be a good idea to have a backup community; I hope that anyone who posts over there will post anything and everything over here too.
The JF Rugbytackle community is right here and everyone is more than welcome to visit whether you want to join JF or not. At present you can get free codes by leaving a message for the JF moderators here. (Check the FAQ there, I believe there is more information on free codes.) So anyone can join whether you have friends there or not. I just discovered that Rugbytackle itself has 15 codes to give away so let me know your e-mail if you want one, otherwise!
