Awareness

Being loved by you makes me aware of . . .

Sunlight filtering through the trees – dappling your skin in the garden.

The warmth of your affectionate arms surrounding me – keeping me ever warm.

Mundane tasks – soapsuds and clean, shiny glassware.

The roses and lettuces you plant in the garden – food for the eye and food for the soul.

Your voice – that small, shiny ‘phone bringing you closer; a bud in my ear and a blossom in my heart.

Your taste, smell, the feel of your body under my hands, the sight of you, the sound of your voice – my senses are overwhelmed.
