There is no Safety in Words

govi20 wrote a brilliant drabble from Sean's POV Safeword
When we discussed it, we found that there were a number of slightly different interpretations of the situation. This is my attempt at Viggo's POV, based on my interpretation.
“Love,” he says and looks me in the eye.
The emerald challenge blazes, burning bridges.
The choice of word tips the fragile balance.
Gazes lock. The first to blink will lose.
Who was it trembled, at brush of hand on skin?
Who was it flinched at crack of belt on floor?
Bowed head and stillness sought only to deceive.
We both know who holds the power in this game.
The whip-hand does not always have control.
There are many different ways of being bound.
I close my eyes and raise the belt above my head,
“Love it is,” I say.
