Cruelty and Captivation
Jul. 30th, 2003 07:12 amThose of you who are interested in this sort of thing have probably already seen it, but now that Captivation has gotten started, I can finally post about this in RugbyTackle without feeling like it's off-topic...
dragonkal and I (aka Vig and Sean in the Establishment) started a Christian Bale/Sean Bean series called "Cruelty" about a month and a half ago. It takes place in the not-so-nice universe of Chiaroscuro, which is sort of a shadow version of the Establishment (although, unlike the Est, it is neither an RPG nor open to new players). As one of the authors described it, it's a BDSM universe where things tend towards the unsafe, insane, and occasionally nonconsensual.
Both arcs, plus the bridge piece that connects them, are findable here. I highly recommend reading Cruelty first -- even though it's epic-length, at 27 chapters long. Even if you don't like Christian Bale.
The sequel arc -- "Captivation", which is where Viggo comes in -- starts with an interlude called "Arch", findable here.
Warnings: for heavy pain, humiliation, BDSM, and seriously squicky things like claustrophobia, asphyxiation play, knifeplay (we're not there yet, but we probably will be) and fisting. (Actually, in a list like that, fisting seems awfully tame...)
